Before fitting the new boiler, the entire heating system was power flushed and cleaned out. Power flushing the entire system is necessary to remove debris and release internal build ups, such as sludge, rust, and limescale, that naturally collect in heating systems over time.

Without this step, the warranty could potentially be invalid if the boiler later develops a fault caused by sludge or debris within the system. Additionally, adding inhibitor fluid after cleaning is often required to maintain warranty coverage.
The Installation Process
For this Meltham property we carried out the following work:
- Power flushing the entire heating system using a power flushing unit to carry out the process at high pressure, ensuring thorough cleaning of sludge and debris.
- Installing a new 30kW Ideal Logic boiler, ideal for the property size.
- Fitting a magnetic filter to capture debris after the process carried out by the power flushing unit and protect the boiler long-term.
- Adding inhibitor chemicals to keep the system clean and prevent corrosion.
As part of the installation, the pump head and circulation pump were checked and connected to ensure proper flow and system efficiency.
Throughout the process we took photos to document the work and show the difference a proper system cleanse can make.
